“Soprano Solène Le Van demonstrates with undeniable charisma, great radiance, and crystal-clear high notes why the peasant girl Micaela would have been the wiser choice for Don José…[her performance in the third act] was a complete success on every level…in recognition of such vocal abundance, the audience responded with minutes of sustained applause. ”

- Wiesbadener Kurier

- Wiesbadener Kurier

In the 2025–26 season, Le Van expands her repertoire with her role debut as Violetta in La traviata with Opera Classica Europa under José Escandell.

Le Van holds First Class Honours from the Royal College of Music in both Voice and Violin and earned her degree in French Literature and Culture from Princeton University. Her forthcoming debut recording for Centaur Records is devoted to rarely recorded mélodies by Reynaldo Hahn and Émile Paladilhe.

“…former flame Musetta (the artistically outstanding soprano Solène Le Van from Los Angeles) enchanted her audience...Musetta’s waltz song ‘Quando me’n vo’ was equally beautifully sung and danced in waltz time, her characterization truly something exceptional...plates and shoes went flying, with one or two lively scuffles.”
